James Ro is responsible for the growth and strategic direction of Envoy Energy. He has extensive experience working with companies in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and raising growth capital. Prior to acquiring ComTech CNG (installs and services CNG fuelling stations), James has spent most of his career in investment banking on Bay Street and held positions at Scotiabank, E&Y Orenda Corporate Finance and an investment bank boutique; he advised private and public companies and worked with leading private equity firms in Canada, including Onex Corporation, Birch Hill Equity Partners and TorQuest Partners. James holds an Honours BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University.
David Hiller has over 20 years experience working with Class 8 trucks and diesel engines. He is responsible for advising commercial truck fleets on how to manage their fuel costs using CNG. David has built a reputation in the industry as helping truckers save on fuel and reducing greenhouse gas emissions (anti-idle systems, aerodynamics, trailer skirts, heater/programming solutions, etc.). Hiller Truck Tech has grown into a fully Certified Safety Inspection Station that specializes in a wide variety of fuel saving products. David believes that CNG is a viable and proven solution to the diesel engine problems in the transportation industry.
Ry Smith is a Partner in Change Energy Services, a leading authority and full-service provider of compressed gas fuelling solutions. Ry brings almost 25 years of expertise in projects related to the design and development of CNG, LNG, and hydrogen fuelling infrastructure and solutions. Previous positions held by Ry include General Manager of the Natural Gas for Vehicles (NGV) Division of Union Gas Ltd. and Director of Transportation Business Development with Stuart Energy, a commercial provider of electrolytic hydrogen systems for energy (stationary power and vehicle refuelling) and industrial process requirements. He managed the development of over 30 NGV refuelling facilities serving a SW Ontario network of over 8,000 vehicles at both private on-site and public retail stations. Ry is Chair of the Standards Committee for the Canadian Natural Gas Fuelling Stations Installation Code (CSA B108) as a Professional Engineer in the Provinces of Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland.
Marie-Geneviève Poitras is responsible for developing the compressed natural gas (CNG) refuelling system market in Canada for ANGI Energy Systems. Prior to joining ANGI, Marie-Geneviève was a Sales Director at Xebec Adsorption where she was responsible for the co-ordination and management of their natural gas, industrial gas and biogas sales and marketing activities. Marie-Geneviève has accumulated more than 11 years of international experience in the gas purification business – two years as Sales Director, three years as Segment Manager, and six years as a Sales Representative for Xebec Adsorption. Along with diverse sales and marketing knowledge in purification and separation for industrial gases and biogas, her focus has been on natural gas dryers and filtration for NGV fueling station users, packagers and OEMs.
Marc-André Paquin is the Canadian Business Development Manager for U.S. Gain, a division of U.S. Venture Inc. He is responsible for growing the GAIN® Clean Fuel compressed natural gas (CNG) infrastructure network in Canada. Marc-André has more than five years of sales experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining U.S. Gain, he worked for Gaz Métro, the Québec based gas utility company, and was responsible for driving growth within the CNG market.
